The recent report states that Italian researchers found among 291 men
with type 2 diabetes, those who also had ED had twice the risk of
suffering a heart attack or stroke over the next four years. At the
start of the study, all of the men had had evidence of plaque buildup
in their arteries , but no heart disease symptoms, such as chest pain.

Researchers assigned each person in a 14-person trial one of three beverage types: a cup of green tea, a beverage with the same amount of caffeine as green tea or hot water. Test subjects who drank Green tea experienced significantly increased blood flow after 30 minutes. Neither the caffeinated drink or the hot water produced measurable change. The increased blood flow indicates that the vessel has dilated or opened wider. This enlargement is due to the endothelial cells improving function.
