The evidence continues to mount as research study after research study carves the truth in stone: we must eat a a high alkaline, high fiber diet to fight cancer. A recent study was done on women and colorectal cancer. It has been discovered again that women who eat a lot of processed meats, red meat, refined grains, fats and sweets could be increasing their chances of developing colon cancer.

The study involved 76,402 women ages 38 to 63, with no history of cancer. The women were classified according to their eating habits. Those women whose diet included lots of fruits, veggies, whole grains, lentils, beans peas, poultry and fish were classified as following a “prudent” diet. Women who ate more processed and read meats, white pasta, white breads, white rice, desserts, high-fat dairy products and French fries were classified as following a “western” diet.

Following an alkaline food diet, which include healthy foods such as fruits and vegetables, olive oil, nuts and legumes can be a heart-healthy way to feed your family. Eating a diet of 50-80% alkaline foods allow you room to eat acid foods that you adore and sometimes crave. Eating 100% whole grain will provide you with the fiber needed to push out harmful toxins and other contaminants from your bowels while veggies and fruits supply needed vitamins and minerals that strengthen your immune system to combat free radicals. This helps to minimize the formation of polyps and the development of colon cancer. Eating-Veggies.com
