Today in the News...

 Everyone give the city of New York a round of applause. The city wants to put a restriction on how much sodium is used in city restaurant and packaged foods. This is a major move forward as salt is a big contributer to the problem of hypertension or high blood pressure in the modern world. Older people (over 40 years) and blacks are at higher risk and should restrict their consumption to 1500 mg a day. NYC had already set guidelines for the use of trans fats in city eateries. High blood pressure plays a role in the millions of cases of "male" dysfunction that are found today.

Restricting sodium, sugars and bad fats is essential to living a healthy lifestyle. They are responsible for the majority of diabetes and high blood pressure cases in America. Heart disease is the number #1 killer of people in the United States and will continue to be until the government takes a firm stand against the food companies that add these killer ingredients.
