 Many thousands of years ago, ancient humans began cooking their food. With this act came a downward spiral in the history of health as we learned more how to cook, process and nutritionally destroy the very thing that would keep us living for over a hundred years. Constantly over-processing and cooking our food has improved the taste but round the clock metabolizing of these lifeless, toxic meals everyday is exhausting us physically. The number one reason for aging is the constant consumption of food, most which contains no nutrition and useless to our bodies except to give us "empty" calories to burn or store as fat. If we would limit our calories and eat more alkaline foods, we could extend our life span and improve its quality.

 Research has been done that proves calorie restriction extends the life span of most animals. Testing is now being done to see if this is true in humans but it may take awhile before enough evidence is proven. Early results are showing that humans are no different than other mammals when it comes to calorie restriction and anti aging. It appears that eating a nutrient-dense diet and eliminating empty calorie foods from your diet will help your body to efficiently metabolize nutrition and slow the "wear and tear" of aging.

 Nutritionists like to divide food into a number of different groups. Our bodies are constantly producing waste products, much the same as the exhaust coming from your automobile. Waste products are acidic or toxic. They are called toxins. Toxins cause tiredness and aging. Therefore, if you want more energy and anti-aging, you need to eat far less acid-producing foods. Veggies and fruits make up the bulk of the alkaline food group. Eating lots of these foods will offset the consumption of acid foods. The human body prefers to operate with a slightly alkaline PH balance so it is very important to consume large amounts of veggies and fruits daily. These plant foods contain antioxidants that will slow damage being done to your body at the cellular level.

             SLOW AGING WITH THE POWER OF ANTIOXIDANTS!


 The human body has to deal with inorganic acid minerals such as chlorine, phosphor, and sulfur that come in with most of our acidic foods: meats, dairy, grains and root crops. We don't eat enough of alkaline (antiaging) foods such as fruits and vegetables that contain inorganic alkaline minerals: calcium, magnesium, sodium, potassium, etc. Eliminating these acids from our body is crucial in the antiaging process as holding on to these toxins will make us age.

 Eating a diet high in veggies, fruits, beans and nuts is considered best for humans. Keep your meat and dairy to a minimum as they are acid foods and eating to many of these foods wreck havoc in our bodies. If possible, try eating a large abundance of your veggies, fruits and nuts in their raw, uncooked form so that you can benefit from their live enzymes. They help greatly in the digestive process and do much to help keep your immune system strong and healthy.

You must eliminate most of the foods in your diet that keep you from burning fat. For me, that meant giving up about 90% of the wheat, rice and potatoes in my diet. I replaced these foods with a large variety of veggies, some fruits, high fiber beans and a few whole grains. I also avoided drinking anything that contained "High Fructose Corn Syrup". It is not healthy to consume so many sugars everyday. Having high glucose levels disrupts your ability to function normally at many levels including the cellular level. This is the level where cancer begins and can lead to many other symptoms of illness.
